Meet the invisibility specialist – an ordinary, middle-aged woman playfully defying our expectations of dance with her confidential moves for the everyday.

In Something In The Way She Moves Julie-Anne Long takes the sheer ordinariness of familiar, commonplace moments and with small surprising twists, renders them into an extraordinary portrait of a woman under the influence of invisibility.

Long’s latest solo work, with much assistance from mini-mum ‘sidekick’ Narelle Benjamin, boldly reveals an alternative inner life often hidden from the public eye.

From mythological washerwoman to intrepid woman warrior, from tragic clown to triumphant Mrs Robinson…bear witness to an intensification of the habitual in everyday dances for an invisible woman and discover who the real Mumsy is!

Friday 16 November: after-show Q&A Session - Meet the artists behind Something In The Way She Moves.

Devised and Performed by Julie-Anne Long
with Sidekick Narelle Benjamin
Lighting Designer Karen Norris
Production Manager/Sound Operator Clytie Smith
Video Maker Samuel James
