If you have an inventive idea for a gathering of people – a participatory artwork, a live web broadcast, obscure skills sharing sessions or a new wave knitting circle – let us know! We are looking for adventurous concepts that explore different forms and ways of engaging new and existing Performance Space audiences. We want to be surprised with ideas we wish we’d thought of ourselves.

ClubHouse will be open to the public from 2-10pm, Wednesday-Saturday during each of our seasons. Each day will be divided into two sessions:

• the afternoon (2-6pm), where a number of small projects may happen simultaneously in the space. During this time Performance Space staff will be present and a library of audiovisual and written material related to contemporary performance and interdisciplinary arts will be available for consultation.
• the evening (6-10pm) where different event-based projects will take place.

In your proposal please specify if you think your project is best suited to being scheduled in the afternoon or evening. You must give us a clear idea of the bump-in/out time (less is best), and how long you envisage each session will be.

Where would it take place
ClubHouse is in Track 12 at Carriageworks and it will contain a small stage, seating bank, a basic lighting rig, sound system and a projector. There will be little to no bump in/out time, so technically simple ideas will be favoured. If your proposal requires more gear than is available please outline how you will source it.

How will projects be chosen?
We aim to select a range of projects which together make up a diverse and engaging program. Our priority is to select projects which:

• contribute to Performance Space’s interest in interdisciplinary and hybrid arts practices
• have a clearly defined audience and a strategy to engage this audience
• have a clearly articulated structure and critical focus
• have demonstrated that they will be well managed
