Emerge Outside engages artists with mixed abilities in a place free of physical and social barriers to expand the individual’s music practice through a collaborative sonic exploration. Here, an immersive journey into sound is realised. Using interactive sequences and found sounds gathered by the artists from habitats where constriction does exist, a new environment evolves. A performance of the resulting soundscape acts as a metaphor for artists and audience to experience possibility outside of everyday structures and frameworks.

Emerge Outside was conceived by artists Randolf Reimann (TraLaLaBlip) and Jacqui O’Reilly, to enable music makers with mixed abilities access to modern synthesis techniques – to inhabit a new place of sound.
